In this creative, edgy and risque photography workshop we will explore a wide range of aesthetics in fetishwear and how we can be inspired to capture ‘fetish couture’.
Fashion and fetishism go hand-in-hand in today’s pop-culture and celebrity. Fashion breaks taboos and barriers of ‘normality’, and fetish has always been a rebuke of societal norms.
Attendees will have the opportunity to work with 4 professional fetish models (Including Bryona Ashly), all with incredible styling that explore latex and leather for 8 unique looks.
Professional model and performer Bryona Ashly will assist in producing the looks, concepts and gather the amazing talent.
Together we will explore the intersection of seductive and elevated looks of fetish past, present and future. Some looks will be more ‘traditional’ fetish approaches while others push towards avant garde fashion.
Your instructor, Lindsay Adler, will build the sets and light the scenes so that you have the freedom to focus on pose, emotion, and visual storytelling.
We’ll being the day by meeting the talent you will be photographing. Attendees will work with a range of talented performers, actors, dancers and fetish models. Our producer, model, and fetishwear expert Bryona Ashly will introduce the day’s concepts.
Now’s the time to jump into the action. Attendees will have the opportunity to shoot 8 different concepts throughout the day. For each set Lindsay will explain the lighting, camera settings, set design, posing tips, camera angle and other essential elements.
Our workshop is held in beautiful Historic Downtown Jersey City, minutes away from the Holland Tunnel and Manhattan as well as only 20 minutes from Newark International Airport.
Our workshops cater to a variety of different experience levels ranging from beginner to advanced level topics and vary depending on the format. A basic understanding of how your camera operates is required, however you do not need to be overly versed in lighting or equipment as Lindsay provides explanations and instruction. Transportation and accommodations are the responsibility of the attendee and not included with the price of the workshop. We may however have rates with hotels in the area so please check with us before booking.
First and foremost you’ll need a camera, since the majority of this workshop is about portfolio building and we’ll be taking plenty of photos.
You’ll also want to bring plenty of memory cards, and batteries.
You do not need to bring any lighting equipment or modifiers as that is provided.
We prefer attendees not bring tripods as they can be obtrusive and get in the way of others. If you do require something to stabilize your camera, we recommend bringing a monopod.
A laptop is also not required, although we do have follow along portions for retouching so you can bring one at your own discretion.

We will provide a meal each of a workshop as well as snacks and beverages. If you have certain dietary restrictions we have a full sized refrigerator so that you can bring and store your food.
